Born and raised in Southern California, and now living on the East coast in Wilmington, North Carolina, Kris Johnson has spent 5 decades riding waves from Hawaii to Mexico to California, and now the East Coast with a front row seat to some of the most beautiful and inspirational seascapes imaginable. He realized that now is the time to start reliving and sharing those memories through his passion for art. He credits his creative spark to his surroundings in Wilmington, a true gem of a city that offers so much opportunity for self-proclaimed watermen, like Kris. It drives his spirit to express his interpretations of the ocean from both coasts.
